Fifty-one enthusiastic young hockey players and staff embarked on an unforgettable trip to Kampong, Utrecht, one of the world’s most prestigious hockey clubs. Known for its state-of-the-art facilities, including eight pristine pitches, Kampong has a rich history of nurturing talent, with many of its players going on to compete at the Olympic level.

The hockey players had the opportunity to hone their skills in five intense training sessions. Each squad participated in two matches, totalling six games during the week. Despite being early in the season, our teams showcased remarkable skill and determination, winning three of the games and impressing everyone with their level of play.

The girls not only excelled on the field but also enjoyed their time off it. They stayed at a comfortable hotel, indulged in delicious meals, and formed lasting memories with their teammates. The final day was spent exploring the beautiful city of Utrecht, where the girls took part in fun activities like bowling and swimming, adding a perfect balance of leisure to their match playing.

This trip to Kampong was not just about the wins and losses; it was an incredible experience that combined top-tier hockey training with the joy of team bonding and cultural exploration. The girls returned home inspired, motivated, and eager to start the season.
