Teacher Training on-site at ÐÔÊÀ½ç´«Ã½ College

ÐÔÊÀ½ç´«Ã½

The programme

We are looking to recruit well-qualified graduates/undergraduates to become teachers across a wide range of subject areas.

One key to our success as a school is excellent staff. ÐÔÊÀ½ç´«Ã½ has always made it a priority of recruiting and training individuals who have the potential to become outstanding teachers and future school leaders. We value all our teachers and whether you join us straight from university, or after an initial career in another area of work, we believe every teacher’s experience and background are important. Most of all we are interested in people with enthusiasm and the drive to become brilliant teachers.

Our pioneering Teach ÐÔÊÀ½ç´«Ã½ programme, which launched in 2015, gives us many years of experience in running a teacher training scheme. Teach ÐÔÊÀ½ç´«Ã½ is the result of a considerable investment of time and finances in our new teachers – and the success of our training can be seen in the quality of our teachers and their testimonials.

The main aspect that drew me to Teach ÐÔÊÀ½ç´«Ã½ over a regular PGCE route was the way in which I was able to work in the classroom straight away. This may seem quite daunting but I was supported by my mentor, Head of Department, Director of Teach ÐÔÊÀ½ç´«Ã½ and a large group of like-minded individuals who were also beginning their training. Mr Nick Chadwell, Housemaster and Business Studies Teacher

As a teacher, from day one you will receive a £30,500 starting salary, free on-site accommodation at our impressive Sussex campus, and free meals. Our programme is fully funded and includes sponsorship of a PGCE with QTS in your second year. Throughout the programme you will work closely with a mentor to build confidence in skills, knowledge and pedagogy. This is achieved through observations, phased in class teaching, and bespoke training sessions. Many of our Teach ÐÔÊÀ½ç´«Ã½ teachers go on to take up positions of responsibilities early in their careers.

Whether you are fresh from university, or have career experience in another field, we welcome applications from well-qualified graduates in the following subject areas: Maths, English, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Psychology, Economics, Business Studies, Computer Science, Politics, French, Spanish, Latin, Religious Studies, History, Geography, Art, DT, Music, Dance, Drama, PE and Primary Education.
