Annual Reindeer Run for charity - ÐÔÊÀ½ç´«Ã½

ÐÔÊÀ½ç´«Ã½

On Monday 12th December, Reception to Year 4 pupils donned their antlers and warm clothes ready for the annual Reindeer Run raising money for St Catherine’s Hospice.

It was a particularly festive event with bright blue skies, snow already on the ground and it even snowed again whilst the children were running! Reception to Year 2 completed two laps and cheered on the older children who continued around the course.

After the run, there was a festive dance-along followed by a well-deserved hot chocolate.

Well done to all the runners, everyone who donated, and to the sports staff for clearing the West Astro of snow which enabled the run to take place safely.

We were so happy to bring back the Reindeer Run for its second year and were thrilled when ÐÔÊÀ½ç´«Ã½ College wanted to support us yet again. It’s a brilliant way to engage our younger supporters and introduce them to the concept of hospice care, whilst educating how their vital fundraising plays an important role, especially as we make the move to our new home in Pease Pottage next year. It is heart-warming the children of ÐÔÊÀ½ç´«Ã½ College continue to help us provide this care, as well as seeing them have such fun donning their antlers! We look forward to building our relationship with the ÐÔÊÀ½ç´«Ã½ community in 2023 Wayne Stepney, Head of Facilities & Hospitality, St Catherine’s Hospice
