On Friday 8 November, nearly 80 students assembled in the Sports Hall to present their Extended Projects.聽

There was a wonderful diversity to the projects on show: from plays written by students, to cookbooks, to medical-related essays and everything in between. There was a real excitement in the air as students talked expertly about their topics and answered questions with ease. Over the course of a year they have gone from beginners to professionals in their chosen topics.聽

Students displayed huge visual flair in illustrating their projects, using design and colour to make their boards stand out. In particular, the visual impact of Jemima鈥檚 board, using a large lily at the centre to illustrate the emotional impact of her topic, was stunning and Beth鈥檚 precision-cut acrylic titles were an excellent piece of craftsmanship.聽

Otto won the vote by students, staff and parents with his project on creating AI that can recognise handwriting. A close runner-up was Archie, who developed an entire clothing line and third prize went to Baz, who, rather impressively, renovated a mini.聽

鈥淥verall, it was a very successful afternoon which showcased the huge achievements of our students,鈥 Dominique Collins, EPQ Co-ordinator.
