As the new school year commenced, a series of house welcome events took place over three weeks, fostering a warm and inviting atmosphere for both new and returning pupils and their families.

The Girls’ House welcome events were a fantastic start to the term, with each house offering something special. Pelican House delighted families with a fantastic spread provided by Sodexo, while Shield House impressed everyone with a brilliant hog roast. Wolf House served delicious Lebanese food, but students said the real highlight was an ice cream van that added a sweet touch to the day. In addition to the incredible food, many houses hired bouncy castles and inflatable courses for students and their families to enjoy.

The Boys’ House welcome events were equally filled with excitement and community spirit. Highlights included Woodard House, which hosted a wonderful gathering with a delicious hog roast and a magician who wowed the crowd with incredible tricks, bringing students, staff, and families closer together. Chevron House braved wind and rain to host a BBQ on Chevron Lawn, providing a great opportunity for parents and staff to connect while introducing the new house dog, Maud, to everyone.

Eagle House welcomed 230 attendees who enjoyed a hog roast in the newly completed inner quad, while Crescent House celebrated with a fantastic evening by the cricket pavilion with many students and parents achieving new personal bests on the mechanical rodeo bull. Red Cross House also impressed with an array of spicy street food, all wonderfully provided by

Star House took the limelight with its famous 鈥淪tar鈥檅eque,鈥 featuring delicious food from , a professional open-fire chef who had been cooking for 22 hours prior to the event. This year also saw the beginning of a new Star tradition: a parent bake-off!

With a focus on building community bonds, these gatherings have set a positive tone for the academic year ahead, strengthening the sense of community that 性世界传媒 prides itself on.

We all had a lot of fun on the bouncy castle and inflatable twister, and it was nice to see so many younger siblings in other houses and schools also enjoying these. Luckily the sun was shining and the rain stayed away, making the event a lovely way to end a long week and mark the start of a new year in Wolf. Claudia K - Wolf Pupil
