ÐÔÊÀ½ç´«Ã½ Community Installation - ÐÔÊÀ½ç´«Ã½

ÐÔÊÀ½ç´«Ã½

The whole school were invited to draw around their hands and be part of the new ‘ÐÔÊÀ½ç´«Ã½ Community’ display in the DT foyer of the Science Block. Both students and staff were encouraged to add a message or quote to their ‘hand’, and a few key highlights include: ‘Diversity: the art of thinking independently together’, ‘There’s one day after tomorrow which is totally untouched’, ‘To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong’.

The display includes paint handprints from the Junior Prep, and Senior School hands cut out of a variety of materials that would otherwise have been thrown away as waste: wood, veneer, felt, and collage prints made by the Design and Technology Department in collaboration with the Art Department.

Everyone gives a hand in fostering inclusivity in our community at ÐÔÊÀ½ç´«Ã½. Phoebe Lewis, Director of EDI
