Paddling听for the OJs听on the River听Wye听

It was a great relief to finally be able to run the Gold DofE expedition assessment for our 2020 leavers, who had waited so patiently to complete their award.听An intrepid group of OJs Aro H, Beth H, Sophie P, Hugo H,听Will听F听& Matt H went paddling on the River Wye.

With help from 性世界传媒’s COO Dan Higgins, they听set听off听to听Glasbury听for a听day’s听refresher of paddling and swimming. They then loaded the canoes with all their equipment and far听too听much food. The journey would take the team听from听Glasbury听to Monmouth, over 100km in four days,听with superb听campsites听and听scenery听along the way.

The weather was kind, although the sun did get the better of one paddler, who will remain anonymous – but plenty of suncream was required! In the evenings some fabulous meals, prepared by the team, were served, accompanied by the occasional cider to celebrate a successful venture. 听
