Students from ÐÔÊÀ½ç´«Ã½ School showcased their talent at the inaugural UK Padel Schools Championships, held in September at in Bristol, the largest padel facility in the UK. The event, sponsored by , marked a significant milestone for school-level padel in the country.

The girls’ team excelled in the competition, reaching the finals after a series of impressive performances. Their teamwork and determination were evident throughout the tournament, culminating in a thrilling match where they narrowly lost by a score of 11-12, securing a well-deserved runners-up position.

Meanwhile, the mixed and boys’ teams faced strong opponents but displayed remarkable sportsmanship. Special recognition goes to the sibling pairs – the Maylens, Foottits, and Ballards – who brought the spirit of family to their matches.

In addition to the competitive play, students participated in a coaching drop-in clinic hosted by UK Padel, where they had the opportunity to learn from some of the country’s top coaches, enhancing their understanding of the game.

As one of the fastest-growing sports in the UK, padel is gaining traction, and ÐÔÊÀ½ç´«Ã½ School aims to lead the way. With a dedicated training programme at The Padel Hub for coaching and match play, along with fixtures against other schools, the future looks bright for our players as they continue to develop their skills and passion for the sport.
