Tours of Danny House - part of our 175th Anniversary celebrations - ÐÔÊÀ½ç´«Ã½

Richard Burrows, the owner of , welcomed members of the ÐÔÊÀ½ç´«Ã½ College Community into his family home this weekend for two exclusive tours of this Grade 1 Elizabethan mansion.

So on two  glorious sunny September days the Archivist, Mary-Louise Rowland, arrived with a group of eager visitors ranging from former parents and former staff to current parents and current staff and of course OJs.

After coffee in the Great Hall and a fascinating gallop through the many centuries of the history of those who built and lived at Danny House, we were treated to an exclusive tour from Richard of this splendid local landmark dating from 1593. There have been many connections and collaborations between Danny House and our school since we were founded by Nethaniel Woodard in 1849, and we hope that in this our 175th anniversary year we can make many more new connections. The Archives will be researching and writing about these connections in our annual OJ Club Newsletter published at Christmas.

Keep up to date with our 175th anniversary celebrations!
