OurÌýgirls started off their pool well, with a 2-0 win over Hazelwood.ÌýThey pulledÌýtogether aÌýsolidÌýperformance, holding their own throughout the game. The second gameÌýagainstÌýSandroydÌýproved to be a challenge. The even battle left both teams struggling to score goals ending in a 0-0 draw.ÌýOur girlsÌýremained persistent throughout despite the unrewarding result.ÌýIn the third gameÌýagainst Ardingly College, there wereÌýsome fantastic team goals and solidÌýdefensive work, whichÌýwas,Ìýrewarded withÌýa 4-1 win.ÌýThisÌýmeantÌýthatÌýÐÔÊÀ½ç´«Ã½ finished top of their group andÌýprogressedÌýto the quarter-finals.ÌýÌý

Drawn against St Andrews PrepÌýin the quartersÌýthe team fought hard throughout. However, after aÌýnail-bitingÌýgame, the final score was 1-1Ìýin which meantÌýsudden death penalty strokes.ÌýAÌýselectionÌýof players from each team stepped up to take onÌýtheÌýpenalty flicksÌýagainstÌýthe goalkeeper. After some spectacular saves, sadly it was not meant to be and St Andrews took the victoryÌýtoÌýprogress.ÌýÌý

A disappointing outcome for the girls who fought valiantly throughout the entireÌýtournament. DespiteÌýtheÌýresult,Ìýour girlsÌýplayed displayed a magnificent work ethic and some fantastic skills, leaving bothÌýMrÌýSimkins andÌýMiss BinghamÌýimmensely proud.ÌýÌý
